Supported Living Services (SLS) consist of a broad range of services provided to adults with developmental disabilities who, through a comprehensive planning process, choose to live in homes they themselves own or lease in the community. Services are tailored to meet individual needs.

Participation

Helps people become involved in community activities of their choice, such as health clubs, classes, sports, etc.

Personal Effectiveness Training

Facilitates self-advocacy by improving assertive communication.

Systematic Teaching

Teaches independent life skills-such as cooking, cleaning, shopping, budgeting and developing recreational interests for successful community living.

Comprehensive Behavior Assessment and Support Plan (when needed)

Utilizes focused support strategies as well as environmental and instructional strategies

I like it here (in my own home) better than the group home because I have more privacy and freedom and nobody bothers my stuff.
