Behavior Respite Companion
High school diploma, experience required. Respite behavior
support in home for children with behavior challenges. Provide
companionship, supervise and monitor individuals.
Afternoons/Evenings/Weekends/Part Time.
Behavior Support Companion
High school diploma and completion of competency based training
developed by IABA. Implement
and monitor Individual Education Plans in a school setting or an
Individual Support Plan in a home/community setting. Provide
companionship, supervise and monitor individuals.
Instructional
Companion
AA or relevant experience in Psychology, Education or a related field.
Experience in implementing 1:1 discrete trial instruction.
Sr. Instructional
Companion
At least an AA degree or equivalent in Psychology, Education or a
related field. Experience in implementing 1:1 discrete trial
instruction to children challenged with autism.
MANAGEMENT POSITIONS
Supported Living Area Manager
MA degree in Social Work, Psychology, Special Education, or a
related field or comparable training and experience building
relationships with individuals with a developmental disabilty.
Key duties include but are not limited to: Training and development of
a management team and direct service staff, and development of
Individual Program Plans and corresponding protocols. Maintain service
delivery within budgetary guidelines. Address opportunities on IABA's
Periodic Service Review and maintain a score of 85% or higher.
Paid Time Off (PTO)
After achieving regular employee status, a full-time employee will
begin to accumulate PTO hours, which will be used for vacation,
personal time-off and absences due to illness or injury. PTO hours will
accumulate at the rate of 1.25 days per month for a total of fifteen
days per year during the employee's first five years of employment.
Holidays
All full-time regular status employees are entitled to six paid
holidays per year. (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day,
Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day)
Health and Life Insurance
The Institute currently offers two types of medical health
insurance plans for full-time regular status employees. All employees
participating in one of the Institute's medical healthcare plans are
required to make a premium co-payment through payroll deduction.
Kaiser Permanente's Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) Plan:
The Institute will pay for the employee's coverage, as well as the
employee's dependent coverage.Employee's premium co-payment
requirements are as follows:
Employee with no dependents - $185.31 per month
Employee with one dependent - $400.26 per month
Employee with two or more dependents - $542.94 per month
Blue Shield's Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) Plan:
The Institute will pay for the employee's coverage, as well as the
employee's dependent coverage.Employee's premium co-payment
requirements are as follows:
Employee with no dependents - $243.53 per month
Employee with one dependent - $523.10 per month
Employee with two or more dependents - $708.99 per month
Blue Shield's Point of Service (POS):
The Institute will pay for the employee's coverage, family/dependent
coverage is at the employee's expense through payroll deduction.
Employee's premium co-payment requirement is $413.82 per month, and
employee pays for all dependent coverage.
Dental Insurance:
The Institute provides dental insurance to all employees at no charge.
You may choose from two types of coverage, a Preferred Provider
Organization (PPO) network of dentists, or an Indemnity Plan that
allows you to use your own dentist. The employee pays for dependent
coverage for both plans through payroll deduction.
Cafeteria Plan:
The Institute currently offers one option in an IRS approved Cafeteria
Plan (IRS Code Section 106 Insurance Premiums). This plan allows
employees to pay for individual and/or dependent family medical
coverage with pre-tax dollars at no additional cost to the employee.
Employees also have access to supplemental insurance benefits, such as
life insurance, disability insurance, hospital indemnity or cancer
insurance which are offered by AFLAC and payable through payroll
deductions with pre-tax salary dollars.
Credit Unions
The Institute offers its employees lifetime membership in two
different credit unions: WESCOM Credit Union and the E- Central Credit
Union (E-CCU). Each offers a wide range of financial services: Savings
and Checking Accounts, Payroll Deductions, VISA cards,
Personal/Mortgage and Automobile Loans. Both credit unions require that
you open a savings account to join.

IABA, a leader in the field of non-aversive behavior management, provides a variety of services to individuals with developmental disabilities. Services provided include behavior management day services, supported employment, and supported living, behavioral consultation and educational services. All employees receive paid Competency Based Training.
